We compiled a list of stand-out tire companies from this year

With so many tire brands to choose from, we thought we could help narrow down the options by rounding up our top 10 brand picks for 2024. The following companies stand the test of time and have built credibility with their customers by offering a wide range of tire categories that consistently perform well at different price points. So regardless of what kind of vehicle you’re driving or the budget you're working with, you’re bound to find a brand from the options below that suits your needs:

1. Michelin: Whether you've been researching a restaurant or actual tires, you've no doubt come across the Michelin name at some point. That's because Michelin is the top-selling tire brand worldwide and is highly regarded as a leading innovator. They manufacture and sell a wide range of tires in the US for everyday vehicles including sedans, hatchbacks, and coupes. These tires focus on comfort, longevity, and all-weather performance and include options for passenger cars, SUVs, and trucks, high-performance vehicles, and commercial vehicles. While they are among the most expensive on the market, many drivers are happy to pay the higher price point because they trust the brand due to the credibility they have built for over a century.

2. Bridgestone: Bridgestone is another global player whose commitment to sustainability and innovation makes them a leader in tire technology. Their presence in the tire market has also lasted for close to a century and they specialize in a range of tires including: passenger and SUV tires like All-season, summer, and winter tires, highway and all-terrain, as well as high-performance tires for sports cars. Bridgestone’s diverse portfolio ensures that they cater to nearly every vehicle type and application, making them one of the largest and most versatile tire manufacturers in the world. While also a premium tire, their pricing is comparable to Michelin’s but may be more affordable for certain products.

3. Continental: Continental is the oldest independent and largest tire manufacturer in the world. Founded in Germany in 1871,  it now operates in 56 countries and markets. Similar to its tier 1 counterparts, they offer a wide range of offerings in the passenger, SUV/Light Truck and commercial tire categories and offer the advantages of German engineering at a lower cost than the Michelin brand.

They are known for providing reliable tires for a wide range of vehicles, including luxury/sports cars with a focus on offering a good balance of value, durability, and comfort across all categories.
